Jack and Cheri are so fantastic. I met them when we chatted about their engagement shoot…and I met their amazing family and friends when SuperAssistant Terry and I arrived in Colorado to photograph their wedding at Jack’s father’s home.
Cheri and her maids of honor started their day at the salon. After grabbing a quick nibble (woohoo partybox!), we arrived at Jack’s father’s house where Jack and Cheri would each get ready and the ceremony and reception would be held. Initially, the ceremony was going to be in the woods near the house, but the weather altered those plans. Within minutes of it becoming apparent the rain wasn’t subsiding, Jack and Cheri’s family, friends, and vendors converted the tent space, which was decorated for the reception, into a ceremony venue and created a way to keep the bridal party dry on their walk to the tent.
There was so much love.
I asked Cheri and Jack what moment of their wedding they think they’ll still be thinking or talking about in twenty years:
Cheri: Right now, the biggest moment for me is walking from the garage under the plastic, coming into the tent and seeing all the guests that had been so fantastically flexible, and my favorite moment – seeing Jack and walking towards him.
Jack: The fact that all of our guests made a makeshift gallery and aisle when we decided to get married in the reception tent was so fun and touching. The wedding procession walking under the cover of corrugated plastic was also hilarious. I won’t ever forget all of the smiles and laughs and the feeling when I saw Cheri – it was perfect.
